Talomir Tales: New Army Lists

Not all the armies we use are the default ones from the Rally Round the King rule book, either because we cannot find figures we like for them or because the figures are not made.

Neither of us could find figures we liked for an Irish army, but we did like the idea of having Saxons living next to Vikings, so I designed a Saxon army list based on my own research and prejudices:

Optional Rule: Mounted Huscarles may dismount as ordinary Huscarles if you do not have any mounted figures.

Introduction

Rally round the King (RrtK) and Warrior Heroes: Armies and Adventures (WHAA) are rules produced by TwoHourWargames for massed battles and skirmishing respectively. RrtK is a reimplementation of Warrior Heroes, which we used before RrtK came out. This blog has been set up to track my progress in playing these rules as part of a campaign. It is my intention, as part of my desire to play more games, to write up my games played using these rules on this blog and to record how the campaign progresses.

The RrtK campaign began in the Summer of 986 and will continue until the participants get bored and wander off. The WHAA campaign began with January 986 but has foundered since.
