Summer 997 - Tereken vs. Treyine - Isle of Blood

Sorry this one took so long. I got stubborn about fixing the backgrounds and then couldn't push myself to finish them. I also took way too many pictures, but sometimes it's hard to know which moment is the key one as you're playing.

I hope it was worth the wait. Treyine only lost one archer in pursuit. I don't know what became of Lord Wigstaff or the fiddle of calling. The knight unit never routed and only took one hit. The Finger of Death spell was incredibly lucky.

  1. I almost gave up after the Knights started slugging it out on the hill. I'm not sure if I should have kept going but it seemed like it was inevitable they would be surrounded and sometimes playing to the last man just isn't fun.

    1. Stopping there did not affect the outcome of the battle, I think, so no problems with that.

  2. Treyine fails 1d on the National Morale table and its morale goes down by 1. Tereken passes 2d. Obviously Tereken morale is higher when they have to fight! The war will continue in the autumn.

I'll get the autumn turn sorted out early next week.

  3. First recorded instance of Icy Finger of Death working!

    1. I think I had only ever tried it once before. It is a definite long shot and I was quite surprised that it worked. It needed to for Tereken to even have a chance.
