Coming Soon: Brother Cedric Rides Again

Treyine soldiers stand guard, unaware that Brother Cedric has dispatched their comrades and is heading their way. Can he fight his way past them and into the crypts below where the Spear of St Lindorf rests? And who is the mysterious Drogo de Beauvriere in reality?

Tune in this time next week to find out.

  1. Waiting for the report. But I have one question: what is the building and who makes it?

First I thought it's a World Works Games' building, but now I think I was wrong. Any hint?

  2. The church is built using WorldWorksGames' Cathedrae Noctis and Requiem sets. The surrounding cityscape and canal are from Streets of Himmelveil and Himmelveil: Canals. The crypts below the church, which will be revealed when we play the game (I don't want Steve to see them just yet) are built using the Lost Halls of the Dwarven King set and the undercrypts, which I hope Cedric survives to see, are built separately using the Ruined Undercrypt of Kelmarane set. Phew! Lot of work really. Unfortunately, my old printer caused geometry problems which are evident in gaps in the structures, but I am willing to turn a blind eye to them rather than print, cut and glue even more pieces.

  3. Wow, you have and built all these sets? Or was it a teamwork? This is an impressive achievement anyway.

I started my WorldWorksGames' buildings and have a few of them but my collection is not even embarassingly small in comparison to yours.

I found that I have to resize one dimension of my prints by 1.068 to have the proportions right, otherwise it's nearly impossible to make the buildings look right. Unfortunately I made a few attempts before learning this...

For a longer period I lost my motivation to build the rest of my WWG stuff, as my hobby time wes drastically reduced and I also encountered some storage problems.

Well, I really love the buildings and whole cities in your batreps. Just checked the WWG site after reading your comment, wow, so many new sets were added to their catalogue...

Seems like some new motivation is growing... ;)
    Thanks!

  4. The build was mostly me, although my gaming buddy, Steve, has helped with some of it. I find I work in fits and starts, producing lots of stuff very quickly and then nothing for ages as my motivation diminishes. I am lucky that I have a printer that prints accurately now, but all my old builds were done on a printer that was out by about 1/8" in one dimension. I did not realise this for years though!

Thanks for the compliments. I must say that buying and printing the WWG sets is addictive. I just wish that I could build them as fast or faster than I can buy and print projects!
